If your comb fails because of a defect in materials or workmanship, contact us at jo@theoriginalfabriccomb.com with a photo, a brief description, and proof of purchase. We replace defective combs at our cost — return freight reimbursed. Covers brass teeth and handle. Does not cover loss, misuse, or cosmetic wear. Australia-wide; international customers, contact your retailer.
How do I make a claim?
Email jo@theoriginalfabriccomb.com with a photo of the comb, a brief description of the issue, and proof of purchase. We'll come back to you within seven business days.
What counts as proof of purchase?
Any of these: a Shopify order number or receipt email, a dated receipt from the retailer you bought it from, or a photograph of the original packaging.
I got my comb as a gift — am I covered?
Yes — provided the original purchaser passed the proof of purchase on with the comb (a Shopify order email, a receipt, or the original packaging).
How long do I have to make a claim?
Within twelve months of noticing the defect. The guarantee itself covers the lifetime of the original purchaser — the twelve-month window simply asks you to let us know reasonably promptly after the comb fails.
Will I get a replacement or a refund?
Replacement by default — at our cost, return freight reimbursed. If you'd prefer a refund instead, just ask. Refunds are at the customer's freight cost.
Do I have to send the broken comb back?
Yes — every defective comb returned goes to our maker for inspection, which is how we make the next one better. We never ask customers to keep or dispose of a defective comb.
I bought my comb from a retailer — who do I contact?
If you're in Australia, contact your retailer, who will in turn, contact us. International customers should contact their original retailer first; we support the retailer where needed.
My EEZY™ wasn't recycled — will my replacement be the new recycled-handle version?
Yes. Replacements are always the current production version — same brass teeth, same design, recycled handle.
My comb is older than 2021 — is it still covered?
Yes. The guarantee applies to all EEZY™ and Super EEZY™ combs sold under the brand, including those produced before the new owner, Jo, took over in 2021.
Every comb returned under guarantee goes to our maker for inspection. The lifetime guarantee isn't only a promise — it's the loop that makes the next comb better.
